Just this morning we cut six grant checks for six Mott Hospital families. These six checks total $3,000. If you are able to become a platinum-$2,500 sponsor for this year's RUN WITH THE BEAR, you would be sponsoring five families. As a result of the sponsorships and donations we receive from our community, as of today we have helped 178 families at Mott Children's Hospital whose children are suffering critical life-threatening continuous health issues.

Below are just a few of the thank you messages that have been sent to the Larry Prout Jr (The Bear) Courage Fund that we wanted to share with our community (while keeping their anonymity,) because you are the ones that help this happen. Thank you!
• Good morning, I just wanted to say thank you. I saw that the check was in the mail this morning and I started crying tears of joy. I can’t believe after struggling so long and asking for help, God blessed us to come across Larry’s nonprofit. I am forever grateful and happy, and I know because of Larry, you know how I feel. Thank you so much. Today our son is doing better. I am drained from being up all night watching over him, but no complaints! I’m happy he is feeling better. I pray you and your family are all doing well and have a blessed day.
• Thank you so much for your prayers and generosity as our son fights for his life. Your kindness has meant so much to us. He will have chemo and radiation for a very long time. He has been in great spirits and has handled this detour with such courage. Thank you again for your kindness and prayers during this journey. We greatly appreciate the love and support!
• Dear Larry & Kathy, thank you for your kindness and giving hearts during our incredibly hard time with our child. Because of your fund, our family was able to fund various needs. I cannot express in this note how wholesome, Kathy, your words of encouragement meant to me as we navigate our hospital stay. I truly appreciate from the bottom of our hearts the support. Hearing about Larry, and reading about all he has overcome, and being a bigger family like we are – gave me so much hope and positivity when we needed it most. So much love.
